Today many commercial companies are trying to do their bit in social development and helping the poor. Most business hardly ever start out with the purpose to donate money, bring benefits to the poor. Because of tax benefits foundations are set-up and money is given to those in need.

Our approach is the opposite. We saw that small-scale dairy farmers in China are having a hard time making a living. Not because dairy farming is not profitable, but because of the fact that middlemen and the large milk processing companies are competing heavily. The costs of this competition is pushed down the line and it is those at the bottom of the chain that suffer most—the small-scale farmers.
It is those farmers, that have helped make the dairy industry big and possible that are now facing problems. They have trouble paying the tuition for their kids education. They have problems paying their medical bills.

After working 5 years in agricultural development in China, I decided to set-up a company in HK. This company, APAC Agrinvest Holding ltd, will be the owner of all future entities.
It’s purpose is to set-up new agri-businesses in China that impact small-scale farmers in China. The initial investment sum was donated. We aim to turn this donation into a profitable business that will be able to donate to others in the future.

This type of approach will bring employment to families working in the agri-businesses. It will bring sustainable development. We are here to make a difference by using business as a blessing for those in need. We want to show that small-scale farmers in China still have a future, if we are willing to share our resources with them. A win-win situation for all!
Farmers get trained, get a higher production or better quality product resulting in better income and the ability to pay off debts, medical bills, help pay the tuition for their kids schooling.
